*Mr. Hughes served as the President of the Lee County Bar Association in 1983-1984 and remains the youngest Attorney to have been nominated and elected to this position in the history of the Lee County Bar Association. At the end of his term as President, The Lee County Bar Association was nominated for Local Bar Association of the Year in the State of Florida.

  • Mr. Hughes has been an active Member of The Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section since 1977, and has been an Author and Lecturer in selected seminars and events sponsored by the Section.
  • Mr. Hughes has attended The Harvard Law School Program for Instruction of Lawyers with emphasis on Federal Taxation.
  • Mr. Hughes was admitted to the Phi Beta Kappa Fraternity, Alpha of Florida at Florida State University as of May 21, 1974 in recognition of high attainments in Liberal Scholarship. Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest fraternity in the United States, having been founded on December 5, 1776 at The College of William and Mary. The fraternity is an honors fraternity as opposed to a social fraternity.
  • Mr. Hughes attained the ranking of being among the Top Lawyers in Florida as listed in The Legal Network, having achieved the highest standards in ethical standards and professional excellence.
  • Mr. Hughes was initiated by the LADD Inn Chapter of the International Legal Fraternity of Phi Delta Phi.
  • Mr. Hughes has been invited to be a guest lecturer in numerous college level classes including without limitation Criminal Law, Business Law and Corporate Law.
  • Mr. Hughes has conducted courses for Paralegal Education sponsored by the Lee County Bar Association.
